UCF is inviting applications to fill the position of Marketing and Communications Intern (1 vacancy).
The Uganda Conservation Foundation is a UK charity and Ugandan non-profit, registered locally as Uganda Conservation (U) Ltd. UCF’s mission is to support in safeguarding Uganda’s natural heritage and regional development by implementing practical conservation and regional development programmes, influencing policy-makers and engaging the public. We work closely with the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and have projects in and around the protected areas in the country.
Duration: 3 months
Responsibilities:
Assist in creating engaging content for various communication channels including digital platforms, press releases, newsletters, and internal communications.
Support social media management and content development.
Measure the success of social media
Monitor and analyze campaign performance according to agreed KPIs and generate the relevant reports regularly
Stay abreast of industry trends, algorithm changes, and emerging platforms to keep the organization’s media and communications strategy agile and effective
Collaborate on the development of marketing and communication materials and campaigns.
Assist in the planning and execution of events, ensuring seamless coordination and effective promotion.
Assist in maintaining and updating the organization’s website, ensuring content accuracy and relevance.
Qualifications:
Recently graduated from the university with a degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box.
Note:
This is an unpaid position for a 3-month period, after which the candidate may be considered for a fulltime, paid position, subject to performance.
